Juror Questioning Brings New Approach But Lacks Guidelines

Allowing jurors to question witnesses is a fairly new practice but lawyers and judges alike are still trying to address possible problem areas. Responses to juror questions are not bound by the same rules as conventional testimony, so witnesses are free to go into areas that would usually be off limits.
