Merck Motion for Mistrial May Be Sign of Weakness
Lawyers for Merck & Co. filed a motion for mistrial based on the fact that the plaintiff wrote letters to jurors thanking them for their service. The letters have not been delivered but attorney, Mark Lanier, did mention them to the Associated Press. Others believe the "absurd" motion is a sign that Merck is nervous about the case.
