Good guys win: Jurors Hand Merck Another Loss in NJ Vioxx Case
A jury in NJ found that Merck did not warn patients about the dangers of Vioxx and caused one of the two plaintiffs to suffer from a heart attack. John McDarby had taken the drug for years and was awarded a total of $4.5 million compensatory damages while the second plaintiff, Thomas Cona, was not awarded compensatory damages.
