The good guys win: Jury Finds Merck Misled FDA About Dangers of Vioxx

A jury awarded a heart attack victim $9 million in punitive damages after having taken Vioxx for four years. The verdict will automatically cause the case to be referred to the state attorney general for a criminal investigation into Merck's activities.
